Infographic – Key Data in Audio Production in the Spanish Markets
In recent years, we have witnessed a growing number of entities in the Spanish Markets investing in the production of all kinds of audio content (podcasts, audiobooks, audio dramas, audio series, etc.)
To support publishers, platforms, and production companies interested in these audio formats, Dosdoce.com has conducted a new market study to analyze the key aspects that should be considered when producing audio content.
The findings of this research have been compiled in the infographic «Key Data in Audio Content Production «which we are publishing today. To create it, we had the support of 20 entities from the audio industry who collectively represent nearly 200 years of accumulated sound experience and more than 200,000 hours of produced content.
The infographic includes highly relevant and up-to-date information, such as average production costs for all types of audio content (podcasts, audiobooks, audio dramas, etc.), as well as an estimate of the tasks and time required per hour of produced content. It also provides insights on the use of artificial intelligence in various production processes, confirming that AI is transforming the creation of audio content.
Without a doubt, these figures provide clarity to all professionals already experimenting with the audio format as part of their regular activities, offering them a deeper understanding of the current market and facilitating the analysis and evaluation of their audio content production strategy.
It is important to keep in mind that the effort invested in both the information shared by the participating entities and the aggregation of published data—especially regarding average costs and the number of hours required for a final audio product—is based on average aggregated data. As such, these figures should be carefully considered in light of the specific characteristics of the content we intend to produce before preparing a budget.
The budget for an audiobook that incorporates AI processes in certain production tasks will not be the same as one that does not. Similarly, the cost of an audio drama with twenty voice actors will differ from one with only five, just as a production that includes original versions will have different costs compared to one that relies on royalty-free music, etc.
For professionals who have not yet fully embraced the audio format but find these insights intriguing, we recommend enrolling in the new free course «Production of Podcasts, Audio Series, and Audio Dramas» that we have developed for Parix School to help them take their first steps into the world of audio.
We will also discuss all these aspects at the PARIX AUDIO DAY 2025 professional conference, which will take place on February 13 in Madrid and will feature nearly 40 national and international speakers who will share their experiences and insights through various conferences and panel discussions.
